Here are some of the wonderful pieces of artwork that the artists from the Senior Learning Community have been working tirelessly on for the last few weeks. All of the pieces shown below will be on sale plus many more from all the other home groups. Have a look and see which ones you might like to get your hands on… But be quick on the day as they will sell fast!
I think we can all agree that we had a fantastic day last Friday at Healesville Sanctuary. It was a beautiful sunny day and all the children enjoyed visiting the dingo’s, reptiles, birds, kangaroos and many more beautiful Australian animals. The “Spirits of the Sky” bird show was definitely a highlight.
On Friday 7th November we will be attending Healesville Sanctuary as a part of our creation unit. We will be attending the ‘Spirits of the Sky’ aboriginal creation show.
Please remember to bring back your permission slip by the end of this week!
Welcome back to term 4 everyone! It’s going to be an extremely busy and exciting one.
Here is the PDF of the Human Body Project!
Well done to our grade 5 and 6’s on a fantastic effort at the Lightening Premiership competition on Friday.
I would like to congratulate both the football and the newcombe teams who finished the day by winning the entire competition! It would have taken a lot of hard work but you pulled it off.
Also a big well done to the netball girls who showed amazing sportsmanship. It was great to see how far you have come since starting 6 weeks ago. You played well together in your teams and encouraged everyone to have a go!
Just a reminder that tomorrow we are doing our inquiry dissection. If you haven’t brought back your permission slip yet you will need to have it tomorrow in order to participate. If you have lost your form your parents can write a note saying you are allowed to participate and sign it.
Remember it is up to you if you participate! See you tomorrow!
On Friday last week children who are completing their First Communion received a blue folder with sessions to complete each week for homework. The blue folders need to come back to school every Thursday so Mrs Ferris or myself can correct them.
We WILL NOT be replacing any lost folders or accepting the excuse “I can’t find my folder.” The folders are the responsibility of the children completing their First Communion. This work is an extremely important part of the First Communion. It allows the children to be prepared for this Sacrament.
If you have any questions in the lead up to this important Sacrament please contact Melissa Ferris, Damian O’Bryan or myself.
